Your Right

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God John 1:12

The right to become children of God. Not the privilege, but the right. Such a powerful word. Your right, something that is due you, a just claim or title. Sometimes I think I approach this right as a privilege and say, “oh, thank you, and act timid and shy, when God is saying, grab hold of it with confidence.

It’s yours! Claim it and own it!

Isn’t that kinda like kids with their toys, at least 2 year olds, they own it! Once my son received this tractor, he boldly claimed it and took hold of it as though it was his right to have it! Obviously we’re trying to teach him to be grateful and to share! but watching his complete ownership of this tractor and how he has boldly taken it reminds me of the right I have to be a child of God and how I need to boldly grab hold of my title and inheritance and completely own it!
